Our first day out in Service

Well we were able to go out in service with a Spanish congregation in Madrid on Tuesday morning. It was nice to be out in the ministry! Service here is WAY different then our congregation in California. First of all we walked to the kingdom hall. It seems like all of the friends in the congregation live right next to each other and the hall. It took us about 5 minutes to go to the hall. The service meeting started at 10am and there were A LOT of people out between all of the congregations. Here service is mainly done during the week and the friends rarely go out on the weekend. This has to do a lot with the culture. There are usually service meetings in the morning as well as in the evening almost every day of the week except for the weekends. After the service meeting we all basically walked out of the hall and we all walked to the territory. I got to work with three brothers. We did street work and then we did territory in apartment buildings. I actually got to talk to a French man from Senegal and placed two magazines with him!

Antoine & Kanicia

We are serving where the need is great in southern Spain and are actively involved in the TESOL community. We enjoy helping people learn how to teach English and support themselves in another country.
