We’re sorry for the lack of posts for the last week or so! We’ve been busy moving into our new apartment and haven’t had internet. If you’re reading this by now we have internet in our new apartment and should be able to update our blog regularly! So what is your new apartment like you might ask? Well, let us tell you a little bit about it. First a little bit about how we found it. When we were still in the U.S. the brothers here in Spain had a few places in mind for us to look at. The place that we ended up selecting was not one of them. We were shown this place because a sister is a friend of the apartment owner and she thought that it would be a nice place. So you can say that it was a little bit unplanned and that it ‘just came up’. Isn’t that how many blessings usually happen anyways! The friends in the group recommended that we find a place near the service groups instead of near the hall. This is so that we could walk or easily get a ride to the service groups and meetings. We thought this was wise. The majority of the friends in the group live in a neighborhood called Barrio de Progresso. This is also where the majority of the service meetings are for the group as well as for the Spanish congregation it turns out.
So let me tell you about the apartment. It is located in Barrio de Progresso right in the middle of all of the service meetings! It is a new building right in front of a small children’s park where many mothers gather with their kids in the evening. We are on the second floor. Our apartment is a completely new 2 bedroom one bathroom apartment which is furnished. No TV yet though (Kanicia is frowning right now…) It has a lot of light and large windows overlooking the street outside. The apartment building also has access to a huge rooftop terrace which offers 360 degree views of the neighborhood and Murcia Centro in the distance! It would be a nice place to bring a chair and do some bible reading or to have an evening meal or to just dry some clothes! We are really pleased with this apartment and we feel that it is a blessing for us to be so close to all of the brothers as well as to be comfortable in this new and different country!
