The next question we often hear is not always so dramatic, but the next frequent question is ‘How are you doing this? How are you going to support yourself? Are you throwing caution to the wind and just hoping for blessings?’ A lot of research went into this decision and move, about a year of planning, and much prayer. We have some unique circumstances which allow us to be able to live and work in Europe, so we are taking advantage of these circumstances. We are planning to do a combination of things likely: teaching English and remote work online. We aren’t throwing caution to the wind but we are hoping and praying for some blessings 🙂
The great thing is that we are not the first ones to make a move like this. We all likely know of someone who has moved to serve abroad, and it’s great to learn from others. We have so much information available to us to help us make wise decisions and this has definitely helped us in our planning. Do we expect smooth sailing in the financial arena? Well, do any of us really expect that anywhere?? really? I’m sure there will be some challenges just like there are anywhere, and we’ll have to rely on Jehovah just like we’ve done before albeit in slightly different circumstances.
Next question: “So are you learning Spanish?”… (well, we are moving to Spain right :-p )
