Teaching English

Well it’s official I’ve finished my first week with my new job as an English teacher. My first client is Valentine an Engineering Project Director for an international airline manufacturing company in his 40’s. He wants to learn English because his company recently acquired an American company and brought four of the Americans here to Spain to work. He is in charge of managing them. He wants to learn business and conversational English. He wants to eventually take an English exam which will show that he has a certain level of understanding of the language and he would like to eventually move to the United States sometime next year. He lives in a small town outside of Murcia called Guadalupe. I take the bus to his home twice a week which is very convenient. I enjoy teaching English because I am able to learn about people and help them to develop their ability with the language. Next week I will begin teaching another client as well. Her name is Lucia and she is 11 years old as well as her brother Mario who is 8. So that should be fun. I’ll just have to make sure the classes aren’t boring!

We are serving where the need is great in southern Spain and are actively involved in the TESOL community. We enjoy helping people learn how to teach English and support themselves in another country.
